Farewell Mr Gittins!

As the end of term approaches, it is with very mixed emotions and heavy hearts that all at BLS have to bid a fond farewell to Mr Gittins. We are absolutely delighted and proud to announce that Mr Gittins has been appointed Headteacher of Caton St. Paul’s CE Primary School, taking up his new post from 1st September 2020. Parents and staff will agree that Mr Gittins is an outstanding role model and a true inspiration; his energy, ingenuity and passion to ensure the best outcomes for all children shines through. Over the last four years, Mr Gittins has supported staff and worked with relentless enthusiasm in an effort to contribute to the continued improvement of our school. His promotion is truly deserved but we are well aware of how much we will all miss Mr G: the DJ, the sportsman, the leader, the teacher, colleague and friend. If any parents would like to pass on any messages to Mr Gittins, please do so, either directly via email

directly to Mr Gittins by email or via Mr Hargreaves. Don’t forget, Mr Gittins will be on his final ‘shout out’ today at 3pm – we’d love him to be able to read out your farewell messages then as well!

Congratulations Mr Gittins; we will miss you!
