All churches in the Diocese have received a letter from the Bishop confirming that worship in church can start again from Monday March 8th. However, individual churches have a 3 week period in which to make sure that all the necessary COVID precautions are in place, with the expectation that ALL churches will be open again by March 29th – PALM SUNDAY.
The PCC at Holy Trinity decided that, because the infection rate locally is still above average, both Holy Trinity and St Mark’s will remain closed for public worship at the moment. If all goes well, as we hope it will, the following services will take place at Holy Trinity from palm Sunday :
Sunday 28th Palm Sunday 10.30am Service at Holy Trinity – public worship with Zoom link
Wednesday 31st March 10.00am Service by Zoom link from Holy Trinity
April 1st Maundy Thursday Service at Holy Trinity (time to be confirmed) with Zoom link
April 2nd Good Friday Service at The Glebe Field with Zoom link
April 4th Easter Sunday Early morning service and lighting of the Paschal candle on the Glebe Field (time to be confirmed)
April 4th Easter Sunday 10.30am Easter Service at Holy Trinity with Zoom link
At the moment, there are no plans to re-open St Mark’s.
