Commissioning Service

The Commissioning Service will take place in Blackburn Cathedral on Thursday 8 September at 2.00pm.

The mixed procession between visiting bishops and lay people from Blackburn Diocese is designed to represent a partnership between lay and ordained and also between the visiting teams and the local churches.  Seating in the Cathedral will be arranged in deaneries with members of the visiting teams and members of the deanery sitting together.
