FREE HOME LIBRARY SERVICE
Home Library Service at your Local Library
Are you or someone you love unable to get to your local library? Lancashire Libraries can help! We can provide a home library service for anyone struggling to get to your local library due to age, disabilities, poor physical and or mental health, caring duties or mobility difficulties.
You can use the service for as long as you want. Some people want the service all the time, whereas others may use it for a short period, such as when recovering from an operation or illness, or during the winter.
This service is completely FREE to use. We can cater deliveries to suit your taste. We can provide the following in a whole array of genres:
- Fiction and Non-fiction
- Audiobooks
- Music CDs
- DVDs
- Large Print
- Children’s books
Deliveries can either be collected from your local library by a nominated person, such as a family member or a neighbour or friend, or we can arrange a monthly delivery to your house by our friendly volunteers. Our volunteers have been checked by the disclosure and barring service.
There are no fines or charges for Home Library Service customers.
