NEW VICAR FOR HOLY TRINITY AND ST MARK’S

On Sunday 2nd January, it was officially announced in church that the newly appointed Vicar of Holy Trinity and St Mark’s is :

Revd Peter Hamborg

Peter is currently vicar of two parishes in Preston. Emmanuel Preston and St Christopher’s, Lea. Having been ordained nearly 12 years ago he is passionate about “Loving God and loving people.”

He knows Bolton-le-Sands and the surrounding area having been an instrumental music teacher with Lancashire Music Service before he was ordained. He knows Bolton-le-Sands school having taught there as part of his role with the music service.

Commenting on his appointment he says:

“It is a big move for our whole family relocating from Preston but we are convinced it is a move worth making. With it being such a big decision we have prayed about it and we feel we are following God’s call. I am not biased to age or background…I am committed to youth and children’s work.”

He comes with his wife, Louisa, and three young children.

The actual date for the move is still to be determined by the diocese but it is likely to be around Easter time. We wish him well and look forwards to his arrival.
