Save Lapwing Fields – Update

The Friends of Lapwing Fields Green Space (Slyne with Hest & Bolton le Sands) has evolved from the Slyne with Hest & Bolton le Sands Greenbelt Action Group which was formed in 2015 in response to the Local Plan consultation to define our Greenbelt area.  Happily, at that time, we were successful in helping to retain the Greenbelt status.  New government changes to planning regulations means that our greenbelt is yet again under very real threat of development as can be seen by the planning application lodged by Wrenman homes on LCC planning portal number: 25/00805/OUT

FIELDS TODAY

FIELDS IN THE FUTURE

On the evening of Tues the 29th July, a joint parish council extraordinary meeting was held as a community engagement process.  An astounding 250+ people attended meaning the meeting had to be split into two and some people didn’t get in but had to listen from outside.

None of us on the committee are experts in planning law or the surrounding documents therefore, our best chance to stop this is to hire a specialist planning solicitor – but this comes at a price and we need donations.  Over £1600 was raised on the night but we will need more.

Our bank account details are: Natwest: The Friends of Lapwings Field Space: Soert Code: 01-00-61.  Account: 20921020.
