It looks as though we have a difficult time ahead of us due the Coronavirus, we have to take care of ourselves and follow all the guidance the experts are giving. It is brilliant to read and hear, people are helping those who are unable to carry on as normal. Please carry on doing your sterling work, I am sure it is appreciated. People who are isolated at this time will also be very lonely and a phone call for a chat might make their day. Thank you very much to everybody who is supporting those in need.

The Bishops have instructed Nancy to suspend services in Church until she is told otherwise. The Bishops have asked that we pray daily, remembering to include everyone affected by this terrible virus. Also they would like everybody to put a lighted candle in their window at 7-00pm. on Sundays. Church buildings  may remain open, and St. Marks will be open from 10am until 4pm. for people to go in for personal prayer on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays .

It is with great sadness I have to tell you Mrs. Madge Micklewright has passed away. She was a lady with strong views which she freely voiced. There is a saying, every village has a character and Madge certainly was Nether Kellet ‘s. When she moved to Cheshire to be near her daughters, she left us with some good memories and we do miss her lovely voice on a Sunday morning.  She was a staunch member of St. Mark’s. Madge rest in peace and rise in glory.

As we won’t be able to celebrate Easter in Church we will have to do so quietly at home. On behalf of all of us at St. Mark’s  I wish everybody in Nether Kellet and Bolton-le-Sands a very peaceful and happy Easter.
