The First Tuesday Hub restarted on Tuesday 7th September, and was very well attended, with more 40 people joining us for the afternoon.
The picture shows Anne Oliver, from AgeUK Lancs welcoming all who attended. Ian Entwistle at the keyboard, assisted by Margaret Hutchinson, provided musical entertainment during the afternoon. Thanks to Hazel Short, Linda Leicester and Yvette Morton, refreshments were served from the newly re-opened kitchen area.
As well as AgeUK Lancs, there were representatives from Veterans’ Support and the Citizens’ Advice Bureau, who gave short talks about their work, and how it had been affected by the pandemic.
The next First Tuesday Hub will meet on Tuesday 5th October at 1.30pm. We are hoping to be joined by pupils from the school again, and to re-start the armchair exercises with Alysia Gilda. As always, everyone is welcome.
