Without you, our work would simply not be possible. We rely on the generosity of our parishioners and supporters to help us do what we do. If you simply want to make a single online donation, just click on ‘Donate Here’ to be taken to our donation page.

There are several other ways to support the Parish of Holy Trinity & St Marks financially. Whichever you choose, your donation is most gratefully received. We hope that the following information will help in your choice.

It costs about £100000 per year to run the Parish – to pay for the upkeep of its Buildings, Services and Diocesan support (which includes the provision of a vicar). If you want more detail about our finances please have a look at our Annual Report & Accounts under Our Church’ – ‘Official Notices & Documents’ on this website.

As a registered charity we receive no income other than that resulting from our own efforts. Raising £2000 per week can therefore be quite a challenge but in recent years we have been able to break even, thanks to the generosity of our congregation and many friends.

Over half our income comes from regular donations by direct debit or standing order and the rest from a variety of different sources – collections at church services, one-off donations by credit or debit card, text donations, fundraising events and 100 Club quarterly draw.

Set up a Legacy

Once you have made provision for your loved ones, you have the opportunity to make a lasting gift to God, by leaving a legacy to His church. A gift in your Will to your local church is one of the most valuable and lasting ways you can continue to support its mission and ministry within your community.

A gift can be an expression of your gratitude and thanksgiving towards God, and can help keep your local church alive, and help transform its future.

Making a Will is something that has to be considered carefully and it is always best to seek professional advice before making your decision. Our Treasurer will be pleased to discuss how any Legacy might be used at Holy Trinity & St Marks, but we cannot offer specific advice about writing your Will.

However, the Church of England website does provide a wealth of information (including a free online will writing service) which can be accessed below.

If you would like to discuss your donation options please contact our Treasurer, Andy Hampshire.  (email:  [email protected])

Thank you for your generosity

Ask and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.
