Fantastically Free Events at Bolton-le-Sands Library this September

 

Meet Local Crime Writer, Nick Oldham

Wednesday 3rd September 6-7pm

 We are very excited to announce that local crime writer, Nick Oldham, will be coming to Bolton-le-Sands library to talk about his books and his writing process. As a retired police officer, he uses his experiences to inspire his writing and sets books in Lancashire. Locations include Lancaster, Ribble Valley and Blackpool. Nick was born in Belthorn, Lancashire and became a police officer when he was 19, retiring in 2005 to focus on his writing career.

 Creative Wellbeing: Botanical Illustration with Lancashire Adult Learning

Thursday 18th September, 9:30am – 12pm

In this course, you will take in the changing season as the world starts to bloom with colour. You will record colour, texture, line to visually represent the sounds and smells of the season. Take the time to slow down and notice the world around you and think about how the activities have encouraged you to stay grounded in the here and now. This course is suitable for all abilities- you don’t need to have ever taken an art class before to enjoy this course.
