St Mark’s is opening up again……

With all the upheaval over the past 18 months or so, it’s been a little while since St. Mark’s has had anything to report, but although things are still clearly iffy out in the world, in recent weeks we’ve managed to make tentative steps back towards some kind of church routine.

We celebrated St. Mark’s day with Nancy in the moderately sized ‘grounds’ of our little church, on a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon back in April, and followed that with an evening Whitsuntide service about a month later. We even managed to arrange an evening within Nancy’s busy move-preparations-filled schedule to enjoy a final communion service under her guidance on June 10th.

We have now some services set to take place over Summer, though we are unable to make arrangements too far in advance, and with the compact size of St. Mark’s we have to be extra cautious and unfortunately can’t accommodate many passing customers – if you are interested in attending a service at St. Mark’s please get in touch (01524 824110) and we will let you know what services are upcoming and reserve a place for you.

Our most recent meeting was Holy Communion on Sunday 4th July at 10.30am, Holy Communion presided over by the Reverend Paul Warren, formally Vicar of the Parish of Silverdale.

Following that, God willing, there will be a Morning Prayer on Sunday 11th July, and another Communion service on Sunday August 15th, both also at 10.30am.

We very much hope and pray that before too long life starts to improve, and we hope to do more on developing the work of St. Mark’s within the village of Nether Kellet.

Many blessings to you all,

Becky Hutchinson and everyone at St. Mark’s
