Holy Trinity and St Marks have registered on the “A Rocha” website to begin the journey becoming “Eco Churches”
Eco Church is a learning community of churches of all shapes and sizes. It provides a framework to support churches and its leadership to take practical action on caring for God’s earth. It includes a toolkit of resources, an online award survey, a quarterly email update, online events, prayer forums and occasional conferences.
The Eco Church survey, with its suite of supporting resources, will help Holy Trinity and St Marks ‘go green’ in all areas of our church life. The work will all count towards a Bronze, Silver or Gold Eco Church award.
Becoming an “Eco Church” influences all areas of our Christian life. Buildings, Community, Global Engagement, Worship, Teaching, Land and Lifestyle. It involves all ages and invites everyone to become “Eco Focussed”.
We are currently recruiting a group of people who will lead us on this journey. If this is something you are interested in, even though you may not be a member of Holy Trinity and St Marks community you will be very welcome.
