The next Quiet Day at Hyning is provisionally booked for Tuesday 14th March 2023.
Cost £25 including lunch – £15 if taking own packed lunch.
Arrive 9.30-10am. Refreshments provided.
10.15am first session.
11am free time.
12.15pm midday prayers approximately 15 minutes.
1pm lunch.
2.15pm second session.
3pm refreshments and end of day.
This provisional programme is subject to change.
Whilst it’s not compulsory to attend the midday prayers, the sisters do appreciate us joining in and request that we support them in their prayer and worship.
The house has undergone extensive refurbishment and there may be an opportunity to have a look at the bedrooms which are all en suite. At present the sisters are not able to provide a leader for the day as they are considerably fewer in numbers than previously. This may change, but Sr Michaela is studying for a masters degree alongside her normal duties and still recovering from surgery so is unlikely to be available.
If the sisters are asked and are able to lead the sessions, there would be an additional fee of £50 for the group which would bump up the price. Like most establishments, their running costs have increased considerably but it’s still good value.
