A Message from the Vicar.
Welcome to Holy Trinity Bolton-le-Sands with St Mark’s Nether Kellet
At Holy Trinity we are, first of all, a village church. We exist to serve the whole community, whoever you are and whatever your need may be. If you are visiting this site because you are seeking a wedding or christening, or you have an enquiry relating to our graveyards, please contact the relevant coordinator by going to the ‘Contact us’ page. The vicar is also happy to pick up enquiries, especially if you are seeking support, guidance, or prayers – you can be sure to receive a listening ear.
We are, secondly, a gathered church, a community of ordinary people who love God and seek to follow His Son Jesus Christ in our daily lives. We gather so that we may encourage each other in our faith, and ‘spur one another on towards love and good deeds’ (Hebrews 10:24). We are fed through scripture, prayer, and singing, with people often commenting that they come away from our services ‘feeling uplifted.’
Our regular services are on Sundays 9.00am at St Mark’s Nether Kellet, and 10.30am at Holy Trinity Bolton-le-Sands. There is also a midweek Communion service at Holy Trinity every Wednesday at 10.00am. With the younger end in mind, we run a Messy Church at 10.00am on the first Saturday of each month, and a contemporary, interactive service at 9.15am on the ‘Second Sunday’ of each month.
Whichever of these you choose to attend, we want you to feel very welcome. We strive to be a church where all can belong, whatever your age or background, a family of faith in which every member can give and receive. There are lots of opportunities to share a cuppa with other people, because creating a strong social community is also important to us.
You may also wish to follow our Facebook page – ‘The Parish of Bolton-le-Sands in Lancashire,’ to keep up to date with forthcoming events. The church is used for various other activities such as concerts, socials, the ‘First Tuesday hub,’ the ‘First Friday’ ecumenical service, and the Mothers’ Union. A good way to keep up to speed is by joining our mailing list, through which our ‘weekly link’ will be emailed to you. To join the mailing list, please contact email@example.com.
We hope you enjoy visiting our website and find it helpful.
