Dear Everyone in Bolton-le-Sands and Nether Kellet,

At this time of great uncertainty and distress, many of us are fearful and anxious. Isolating ourselves and those we love is not normal.

God is constantly at work to bring goodness and new life, particularly where there is fear. “Do not be afraid, for I am with you” the risen Jesus tells us anew, again and again. Closed doors are no barrier to Jesus.

In our communities, people are finding new ways of connecting with each other and looking out for the vulnerable. Bolton-le-Sands has a Neighbourhood Watch scheme with a coordinator for every street. Nether Kellet has a Volunteer Support Group who have put cards through the door of every house. There are people who will keep an eye on you, do shopping and help. Please don’t struggle alone.

Church services have been suspended and the building is closed, but God isn’t. God is always open through prayer wherever you are.

Jesus is alongside us; whatever path life takes.  If you have a computer, tablet or phone that has a camera you can join us for services online.  Register below to be on our email list to get the link;

With love and prayers,

Rev Nancy Goodrich

As your Vicar, I am here for you 01524 823106.

Keep us, good Lord,

under the shadow of your mercy

in this time of uncertainty and distress.

Sustain and support the anxious and fearful,

and lift up all who are brought low;

that we may rejoice in your comfort

knowing that nothing can separate us

from your love in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.

Being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion – it is a daily process whereby you grow to be more and more like Christ.

Billy Graham

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.
